A pet parrot in South Carolina, USA has been credited with helping solve a neglect case that led to the sad demise of a 98-year-old woman. Anne Copeland died after being neglected and possibly mistreated by her daughter. When police entered Anne’s home to find her seriously ill, her pet parrot squawked “Help! Help!” and then laughed, which police believe was in direct imitation of tragic scenes between Anne and her daughter.
There is no word yet on whether the exotic bird has been rehomed or possibly given a job on the force!
